Ok Witchlets,

      I'm having some SERIOUS pain issues. The good, old fashioned, emotional kind. And I can't seem to get rid of it. I'm looking for any good purging ideas, banishing rituals, ANYTHING to help me let go of it!

Well, today was mine and my boyfriend's anniversary. We've been going through some seriously rough times lately (more like the last six or seven months) and it was good to feel at ease with him again. The last week I've made myself be very brief with him. It seemed that all the attention and care I was giving him was actually making him feel smothered. I was doing it because I care, and want him to feel cared for, of course; but it was straining things between us. He kept getting more and more distant, which hurt, and I'd keep trying to engage him, which pushed him farther away. So this past week I just made myself sort of, I don't know, leave him alone. And the semi-sad part is that it worked. Tonight he was more affectionate and engaged than he has been in a while. We went out to dinner, and then visited the local carnaval. It was fun, and we didn't argue once.

I just dropped him off at home, and I feel elated. Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting my hopes up (you know pessimists are always happier in the end) but it felt really good to just have fun with him again. I suppose our anniversary was a good day to do it on. =)

Well, I'm off to a friends house to do some well needed relaxing/partying. Props to me for a job well done? ::crosses fingers:: here's hoping.

Hi all-

      My name is Lionheart. I stumbled across this page on accident-- but it's good to see the pagan community is taking a bite out of all the blog action flopping around the net these days.

     So... a little about me?

     I live in New York and have been a practising pagan for just over 12 years. I do not subscribe to one specific tradition, but include aspects of many different paths in my work. My main community is a branch of Reclaiming, called (ironically) Long Island Reclaiming. Right now I am most heavily involved in organizing the music aspect of our rituals, and designing our webste.

     One of the most important aspects of my practice is body painting. Once a year at Spiral Heart witch camp I run what is called the Addictive Art Den; where I do body painting for ritual by appointment.

     I also give various music/art workshops. I teach the Djembe and Tar (frame drum) and give voice lessons (though I would prefer to call them workshops).
